Yo Gabba Gabba is not your typical kids display, so it came as no surprise when the trippy-and massively well-liked-children’s system just lately featured psych-pop band the Flaming Lips. The band wore colorful suits whilst encouraging audience members to sing along to lyrics like “I can be a tiger” and “She mentioned that I can be a monkey,” even though frontman Wayne Coyne waved a sparkler around dancers dressed as a bee, monster, finch and wolf, respectively.
Fans of the Flaming Lips never have to tune into Yo Gabba Gabba to see Wayne Coyne & Co., though, as the band has a significant New Year’s Eve gig lined up. Followers with the Flaming Lips tickets can ring in 2011 by viewing the Lips execute their 1999 traditional album The Soft Bulletin in its entirety. The demonstrate will consider location in the Flaming Lips’ native Oklahoma City at the Cox Convention Center. Rumor has it that the Flaming Lips will release one song per month until they have ample songs to release an whole album, but supporters will have to settle for the cult traditional on Dec. 31, 2010.

At the end of this Halloween parade, you have me in this room bubble with a bunch of freaks all close to me.”
Because the 1st March of one,000 Skeletons back in 1997, the Flaming Lips have created it a fall tradition in their hometown.
Despite the fact that the Flaming Lips went child-friendly for Yo Gabba Gabba, Coyne manufactured a decidedly rated-R concert poster lately. Billboard.com reviews that Coyne, probably inspired by Kiss’ 1977 comic books, which reportedly mixed the members’ blood in ink, display printed a Flaming Lips poster using his own blood as the ink. The bloody-literally-print is of the band’s 2010 Austin City Limits poster. In a clip showing Coyne making the print, the Flaming Lips frontman quips, “It smells weird.” You think? The Flaming Lips’ sporadic performances are in help of the band’s 2009 double-album, Embryonic. Though followers are undoubtedly anxious for some new music from the Lips, the band not too long ago launched the video for a single off Embryonic titled “See the Leaves.” Billboard.com reports that Wayne Coyne & Co. are nowhere to be observed in the video, describing the clip as “bizarre.”
